  • This building is very environmentally friendly! It has about 340 solar panels to help heat the water for the building, and it recycles water from the air conditioning system to help water the trees, plants, and flowers around the building. It provides 15 million gallons of water annually or 20 Olympic-sized swimming pools.
  • If you look at the Burj Khalifa from the top, you can see a flower design. The architect based the design on a popular desert flower called a“Spider lily.” You can also see a lot of Islamic influence in the design.
  • In 2021, Emirates Airlines filmed a commercial where a flight attendant stood on top of the building.
